Recycling When the equipment is obsolete and no longer holds commercial value, it is then broken down and the plastics, polymers and metals are recycled. Recycling involves dismantling by hand, sorting and removing valuable or hazardous components and shredding the remainder. From the start of 2007, manufacturer are being encouraged to produce products free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and all new components to be free of brominated flame retardants (BFRs). This assists us in the recycling process. PC-Recycling have teamed up with a major recycler to deal with the goods that are not so easy to handle. On average we are able to recover 95% of goods. Faulty printers and PC's are stripped down and resold to maintenance companies actively involved in maintaining those products. We handle all elements
of IT disposal from PC Systems to decommissioned Telephone Audit trails of the equipment demise are offered as hardcopy and electronic files. Our customers have a log of any equipment demise. From "cradle to grave" you know the entire history of your machines. PC
